Fitger’s Bockfest is back March 15th through the 17th in Fitger’s Courtyard. With nightly campfires…live entertainment and the legendary Split Rock Bock Beer!

Thursday 3-15

5pm – blessing of the bock, campfires, food and beer tents open

Friday 3-16

5pm –campfires, entertainment, food and beer tents open

Saturday 3-17

Noon– Campfires, food and beer tents open

2pm – Volksmarch on the lakewalk

3pm – The big dip (plunge in the lake)

4pm – Team obstacle course beer stein race

5pm – Masskrugstemmen (stein holding contest)

7pm – Black Forest Torte eating contest

8pm – Team beer drinking contest

Come at watch as the best high school hockey players from Duluth do battle against the best of the Iron Range and Northern Minnesota

The puck drops at 7:15pm Get there early and take in the skills competition at 5:45 for the hardest shot, breakaway and fastest skater competitions

Tuesday, March 27th at Duluth East High School

Come at watch as the best high school basketball players from Duluth do battle against the best of the area and Northern Minnesota.

Tip off for girls is at 6:00 pm, followed by the boys at 8:00 pm

Get there early and take in the skills competition and see all stars slam it down in the Slam Dunk competition!

First outdoor BBQ of the year!

Saturday, February 18th from 1pm to 3pm in Fitger’s Courtyard

All three winners of the Professional Division of Grill Wars 2011 will be there:

First Place – Adolph Store
Second Place – Superior Meats
Third Place – Midi Restaurant

Adolph Store will be featuring samples of their First Place Burger, The Fiesta Burger – a Jalapeno Cheddar Burger topped with fresh guacamole! If you missed it this summer, try it now!
They will also be serving brats!

Superior Meats will be featuring samples of their Famous Brats!

Midi Restaurant will be serving samples of their Third Place Burger, The Mediterranean Beef and Lamb Burger!

Enjoy the smell of outdoor grilling, warm up by the bonfire and enjoy fine burgers, brats and beverages!

Plus, the first 100 people in attendance will receive an Official Winterfest Frisbee! You’ll have a chance to participate in our “Think Spring Frisbee Fling!” – throw the frisbee at the target and you could win our “prize closet spring cleaning package!”

only $2 to get in – all proceeds going to the Boys and Girls Club of the Northland!

Midi Restaurant will have an outdoor bar serving beer, wine, soda and water!
